A customer brought us a large Maple tree this week. The log was approximately 24″ in diameter and 10 feet long. It weighed in at 2100 lbs.
This log contained some surprises but also yielded some beautiful slabs. We hit a wire in the center but were lucky it was only copper. The log also had an animals nest hollowed out. We are not sure what type of animal built it, but it was a rather large cavity working all the the way tot the center of the tree.
